EY ShinNihon announces new EYSN Chairwoman & CEO

Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC (EYSN) is pleased to announce that today Masami Katakura, Senior Partner, was elected as our new Chairwoman & CEO at an Extraordinary Statutory Partners Meeting. Katakura will become the first woman to lead a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm in Japan. She will take office effective 1 July 2019.

After assuming her new role, she plans to further advance the firm's key initiatives and fulfil our purpose of building a better working world by ensuring EYSN delivers high-quality services as part of our mission to maintain the confidence of all our stakeholders.

Furthermore, we are enhancing our organizational strengths by prioritizing diversity and inclusiveness, pushing forward with the advancement of women, as well as other initiatives.

Welcoming the appointment, Mark Weinberger, EY Global Chairman and CEO, says:
