As EY Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) Capital Markets and IPO Leader, Sofia supports clients across the region to realize their capital agenda, accessing international capital markets, like NYSE, NASDAQ, and LSE.

Sofia joined EY in 1991 and has served in a wide range of roles, including EY Regional Accounts and Business Development Leader, member of the EY Central and Southeast Europe Regional Executive Committee and as EY South Europe Internal Audit Leader.

She has extensive experience in auditing multinational public companies across the CESA region, operating in various industries, including telecommunications, shipping, retail, and energy.

Sofia holds a BSc in Accounting and International Business from New York University, an MBA in International Finance from Baruch College, and is a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York and a Certified Auditor in Greece.

How is Sofia building a better working world?

Sofia is a mentor to EY women professionals and leader of EY’s “Women. Fast Forward” program in Greece, working with women executives towards gender parity.

Her aim is to create a dynamic support system for young women before they enter the workforce, by connecting them with women executives and entrepreneurs, who will serve as role models, to inspire and help them reach new heights in their careers, thus bringing gender parity closer.
