Maria is a Partner at EY’s Assurance Services in Greece and Digital Innovation and Implementation Leader for EY’s Assurance Services in Greece and Southeast Europe. Additionally, she is the Head of EY’s Audit Hub in Greece, a regional center for the digitalization, standardization and automation of audit procedures.
She joined EY in 1999 and has since served a wide range of sectors, providing assurance services.
Maria obtained her BSc in Statistics and Insurance Science from the University of Piraeus, and is a Certified Auditor Accountant from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece.
She has wide experience in the media and telecommunications, energy, manufacturing and shipping industries. She is specialized in conducting financial audits in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Additionally, she has been heavily involved in Capital Markets transactions for equity and bond raisings in the Athens and New York Stock Exchanges.
