Byron leads the strategy competency within EY Oceania and has over 35 years’ experience in strategy consulting. Byron joined Port Jackson Partners in 1992 following time at McKinsey & Company, where he started his career. As Managing Director of Port Jackson Partners, he led the firm through its decision to become part of EY in 2020.
Byron has extensive experience across a broad range of industry sectors. He believes there are no second chances to get the big strategic questions right and sees the opportunity to help clients with these challenges as both a privilege and a great responsibility. Byron has served CEOs and boards of major companies in Australia, North America, the UK and Asia, as well as government departments.
Byron completed his BS with First Class Honours at the University of New South Wales, and PhD in Biochemistry at the Commonwealth Centre of Excellence in Gene Technology at Adelaide University.
