Jonas Helmikstøl and his two co-founders started Easee in 2018 with a dream to create a more sustainable world by shaping the future of electricity. The trio saw a need in the home market for a smart electronic vehicle (EV) charger that wasn’t bulky and traditional in its technology, but one that was smart, sleek and scalable.
The team developed the Easee Charging robot, a wall-mounted EV charger that can charge multiple EVs simultaneously and adapt to each vehicle’s charging needs. By easing the load on the power grid through 4G and dynamic load balancing, the Easee charging robot promotes clean, sustainable and affordable energy. Leading this shift toward zero emission transportation, Jonas is confident that Easee “will be one of the largest, most recognized and influential green and blue-tech companies in Europe within 2026 and in the world within 2031.”
Today, Easee is one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe, with over 300 employees exporting its products to over 17 countries. From 2019 to 2021, the company’s revenues grew 1,400%, and the 33-year-old entrepreneur believes the sky is the limit. As Chief Caretaker, Jonas believes the future of business culture is just as important as the future of electricity. He asserts that losing their human touch as the company grows is not an option: “with people first — success will follow.”
