Estonia approves revised fees for several immigration services

On 12 June 2024, Estonia's Committee on Legal Affairs approved a bill to revise the fees for several government services, including immigration applications. The bill, intended to help the government address its budgetary deficit, impacts fees and fines across government departments, such as traffic fines and fees for ID card issuance. Effective 1 January 2025, the fees for temporary residency permits will nearly quadruple to EUR 225 (up from EUR 64 currently) for individuals applying from within Estonia. For applications filed at Estonian embassies, the fee will more than double to EUR 255 (up from 115 currently).
