Shawn Smith

As Americas Industry Group Leader for the EY Financial Services Organization (FSO), Shawn leads more than 14,000 professionals. Shawn and his teams work with clients to build a financial services industry that inspires trust in institutions and helps them flourish. In turn, customers are better able to achieve their goals and contribute to the health, growth and security of the global economy.

Shawn has more than 30 years of experience at EY and in the financial services industry, serving in a variety of leadership positions. During his previous role as FSO Tax Managing Partner, the practice led the industry by focusing on transformative delivery with a technology-first approach while generating new revenue streams via strategically aligned managed services. Shawn also served as the FSO Southeast Market Segment Leader.

Shawn has a BS in Corporate Finance and Master of Accounting in Taxation from Clemson University and is a licensed CPA in South Carolina.
