Alex leads a team located across four cities on three continents, delivering UK tax reporting services to funds of all strategies, and covering both UK reporting fund status and investment partnership tax reporting.
In addition to tax reporting services, he advises fund managers on how to structure their funds and their own investment management businesses. Recently he has advised hedge and long-only managers on the shift towards illiquid and private investments and has advised private credit managers on taking equity stakes as part of debt restructurings.
Having worked across a full range of investment managers from the very smallest to the largest, and a very broad range of strategies, Alex brings a wealth of experience to any new situation.
Alex is a Chartered Accountant and holds a PhD in Experimental Physics from the University of Cambridge.

Alex is passionate about representing EY’s LGBT+ community. He also sits on two steering committees that have been tasked with improving diversity and inclusion, both internally within our own business as well as across the professional services world. Having worked at EY for 15 years, Alex is dedicated to making a positive impact on EY and the wider industry.
