Katariina Jalas started at EY in 2019 and is now the HR Director at EY Finland and the Nordic HRBP for Strategy and Transactions. Katariina has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources and is also a qualified Career and Leadership Coach.
Katariina has lived and worked in a number of countries and has held HR positions within the financial services, transportation and consultancy sectors. Katariina holds an MBA from London Business School and an MA in English and French from the University of Helsinki in addition to her coaching qualifications.
How Katariina is building a better working world
Katariina’s focus in her strategic HR work is to help create an environment of inclusion where everyone feels like they belong and that they can realize their full potential. This work is made visible through the work EY Finland does with minority groups (for example through our Helsinki Pride sponsorship, our EY Ripples volunteering work with International Professionals in Finland, and the focus we have on gender equality).
Katariina is also a firm believer in the power of coaching in order to help us to lead healthy, balanced and fulfilling working lives. Hence we have introduced wellbeing and parental coaching to our employees to support our employees in varying life situations.
