EY donates 100,000 medical masks to care homes for the elderly

Hong Kong’s fifth wave of the Covid-19 infections has posed huge challenges for elderly people. To support this vulnerable group in fighting the pandemic, the EY Greater China Region (EY) has announced the third round1 of donation with 100,000 medical masks to The Hong Kong Society for the Aged through the EY Greater Charity China Foundation (the Foundation).

Jack Chan, EY China Chairman and EY Greater China Regional Managing Partner, says: “The demand for necessities has been increasing since the outbreak of Omicron in Hong Kong. With the society facing tremendous pressure in these unprecedented times, it is vital that we provide care to the elderly and people in need. As we continue to collaborate with various community groups, I am confident that, together, we will emerge stronger from the pandemic.”

Since February 2022, EY has donated supplies of test kits and protective clothing at HK$1.5 million in total to support the frontline workers, underprivileged families and elderly people affected by the latest wave of the pandemic.
