The EY Greater China Region (EY) announces today its participation in the Share for Good crowd-donation platform founded by New World Development, by donating pandemic relief supplies of 3,000 boxes of Lianhua Qingwen Capsule to Yan Chai Hospital Board.

Agnes Chan, EY Managing Partner, Hong Kong and Macau, says: “The fight against the pandemic requires the joint efforts of all sectors of our society. The Share for Good crowd-donation platform adopts an innovative approach to match donors with the people in need. It has attracted numerous organizations to support Hong Kong during this challenging time, benefiting more than 30 charitable groups. Its contribution to society has been of great significance.”

Share for Good is Hong Kong’s first city-wide crowd donation platform. Initiated by New World Development, Share for Good was launched in collaboration with Yan Chai Hospital since the outbreak of Hong Kong’s fifth wave of Covid-19. The online platform matches donors with the local communities in need, and with over 30 participating NGOs, facilitates safe and efficient delivery of supplies. Individuals and corporations are welcome to donate cash or in-kind and be part of the mission of sharing love and giving back to society.

Since February 2022, through the EY Greater China Foundation, EY has donated supplies of test kits, protective clothing and masks valued over HK$1.5 million to support the front-line workers, underprivileged families and elderly people affected by the latest wave of the pandemic.
