Otto Toto Sugiri has been redefining technology in Indonesia for more than four decades. 

Otto Toto Sugiri, one of Indonesia’s first tech entrepreneurs, is passionate about making people’s lives easier through technology. As CEO of PT DCI Indonesia Tbk, Toto has been running the largest data center company in the country, underpinning its digital economy since 2012.

When internet usage and demand for data center services surged in Indonesia, Otto seized the opportunity to address that need. His company now provides over half the country’s local capacity as the first Tier IV data center in Southeast Asia.

Since PT DCI went public in 2021, it has been serving local and international companies, including more than 40 telco providers, four global cloud players and four e-commerce platforms. It also works with over 150 financial services firms and more than 60 enterprise customers from various industries.

Toto started his professional career as an IT General Manager at an Indonesian bank in 1983 before becoming a serial entrepreneur. He served as Director of a software company in 1989 before he established the country’s first internet service provider in 1994. He later founded startup incubator and outsourcing services provider Bali Camp in 1999.

In the coming years, Toto and his company will remain focused on leveraging automated operations to expand faster and investing in artificial intelligence to drive consistency.
