How John is building a better working world
John is a major advocate for increasing the uptake of parental leave by fathers at EY. Having taken long term parental leave for both of his children, John has seen the benefits afforded to both the family unit, employers and at the community level that come from more evenly sharing parental responsibilities.
According to 2020-21 Workplace Gender Equality Agency data 60% of employers offer access to paid parental leave. Despite this, women account for 88% of all primary carer’s leave utilized and men account for 12%.
