Patrick is the Country Managing Partner (CMP), and a Tax Partner at EY Zambia. In this role he is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the firm, managing assignment quality and risk, driving staff development, engagement, and teaming; managing stakeholder relationships as well as his areas of practice that include corporate tax, value-added tax (VAT), transaction advisory (including due diligence review.), international tax (inbound and outbound), transfer pricing and customs.
Patrick’s career highlights include being an active tax policy analyst, and advising governments and other organisations on policy changes and initiatives.
He also has advised extensively on corporate and legal entity restructuring across the continent. He has over 22 years of tax expertise and has worked across Africa, the Middle East, Brazil and the United States. He has extensive experience in the tax industry, including International Tax, Merger and Acquisitions Tax, Transfer Pricing, Tax Strategy, Tax Risk Management, and Tax Optimisation.
Patrick holds a Master of Commerce in Taxation from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU), is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountancy (FZICA); a member, of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
