Gerald is the Country Leader for Mauritius and the Indian Ocean islands of Madagascar and Seychelles. He has been in this EY Africa role for the last 15 years having dedicated his career to professional services. He also leads the Transaction Advisory Business in Mauritius.
Gerald is a professional services expert who has represented Africa on the EY EMEIA Advisory Council and the EY Global Governance Council.
With almost 30 years of extensive career experience in the profession, Gerald is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
How Gerald is building a better working world
Gerald has helped the Mauritius corporate sector gain credibility by being a member of the National Committee on Corporate Governance. He also encouraged the Stock Exchange of Mauritius to adopt the Sustainability Index.
He is passionate about human capacity building and devotes our Firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility budget to education. This includes promoting a learning center that develops qualified Accountants in Mauritius.
