Caroline has returned to EY as part of EY Cova. Prior to this, Caroline led the Cova Customs and Excise team for three years; growing the team from one to eight members. Through her role, she built Cova’s customs advisory business, with a focus on compliance and cost-saving opportunities.
In her previous role at EY, Caroline was a Tax Senior Manager in Customs and International Trade where she spent 10 years.
Caroline is the Vice-Chair of AMCHAM’s (The American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa) Regional Trade Forum for 2021 and is registered with SAIT (South African Institute of Tax Practitioners) as a Master Customs Professional (SA). She has also passed the SDS1 (SA Customs Compliance Part 1) and SDS 2 (SA Customs Compliance Part 2) exams, both cum laude.
Caroline holds a BA LLB from Rhodes University in South Africa and is an admitted Attorney.
