How Derk-Jan van der Wal is building a better working world
"Disruption is impacting the consumer products and agriculture sectors right now. For both sectors, leaders are determining how they can reduce their ecological footprint and build resilient businesses. In my opinion, the solution requires both innovation and entrepreneurship. It is a challenging yet also inspirational time.
The field of FP&A is also witnessing a paradigm shift toward becoming a strategic enabler rather than a mere reporting team. Beyond traditional budgeting and forecasting, I see FP&A teams now playing a pivotal role in scenario modeling, strategic planning, storytelling and driving performance excellence across the organization. By harnessing cutting-edge tools and methodologies, CFOs empower FP&A teams to provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights that enable agile decision-making, and foster a culture of accountability and transparency."
