Winston and William Utomo are the dynamic duo behind PT Media Putra Nusantara (IDN), Indonesia’s premier media and entertainment technology company that has fundamentally changed how the nation’s youth tell stories and engage with content. Founded in 2014, IDN has rapidly evolved into a powerhouse with over 70 million monthly active users, driven by four key pillars: digital media, live streaming, entertainment and the creator economy.

Growing up in Surabaya, Indonesia, the Utomo brothers recognized a significant gap in the market, young Indonesians lacked a platform that truly represented their voices and aspirations. After both earned degrees from the University of Southern California, Winston went on to Columbia University and gained invaluable experience working at Google, Singapore. This knowledge, paired with the duo’s passion for the future of Indonesia, fueled their ambition to create a platform that celebrates the creativity of millennials, Gen Z and generations to come.

Today, IDN is not just a company — it’s a cultural movement that amplifies the dreams and potential of Indonesia’s young people.
