EY Corporate Finance has advised Sunspark Nordic AB in the divestment of a fully permitted 20 MW solar PV project in Blekinge, southern Sweden, to Solare Nordic AB. The project is expected to be operational in 2027 and will produce approximately 23 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 4,400 households.
The transaction aligns with Sunspark Nordic’s strategy to develop and monetise high-quality solar PV assets in the Swedish market, enabling further investments in its growing project pipeline. The project has secured all necessary permits and grid connection, and once operational, is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 12,000 tonnes annually.
Solare Nordic AB is a Swedish solar energy company owned by its management team, EnergiEngagemang, and ewz – a Zurich-based utility with the Nordics as one of its key focus markets. The company aims to own and operate up to 200 MW of solar assets within the next 3–4 years. The acquisition marks a strategic milestone as its first purchase of a fully permitted project.
EY Corporate Finance is the leading financial advisor globally in the renewable energy and energy transition sectors and closed more than 70 transactions in Europe during 2024.
