Based on the collective, an insurer covers risks that you as an individual would never get insured against. I like that idea of solidarity.

"Insurers need to work in a more customer-oriented manner, reducing costs, digitalizing and, in the meantime, also fulfilling their duty of care. Consequently, they set up all kinds of internal programs, partly driven by new legislation and regulations. By often paying too much attention to details, they tend to lose sight of the bigger picture. We help them focus by making targeted choices. What takes priority now? And what practical measures can you take to really improve internal control and risk management?”

How Maarten is building a better working world

“An insurer plays a crucial role in society: jointly - collectively - covering risks that you as an individual would never get insured against. I like that idea of solidarity. And, because you work as an auditor for a customer for a long time, you see the impact of your work over the years. "A quick win" isn’t an option, but it doesn't motivate me either. We plant the seeds for sustainable, lasting changes.”
