Hildegard Elgersma supports financial institutions with transformations in a broad sense and with lots of other issues relating to the CFO agenda. She is primarily focused on insurers, pension funds and providers.
She studied to be a Chartered Accountant at NIVRA-Nyenrode and has been working at EY since 1995. First as an accountant and then, since 2014, as an advisor. She is also chairman of the accountability body of the Ernst & Young Pension Fund Foundation. Prior to that, she was a Supervisory Board member of a national healthcare organization for seven years.
“The CFO agenda is wide-ranging and constantly evolving, just like our support for it. We provide advice on the implementation of new laws and regulations, such as IFRS 17, IFRS 9 and the new pension agreement. These are intensive processes that impact on an entire organization. Process optimization, digitization and forward-looking information also figure high on the CFO agenda. It is important to deliver on what we promise. That means: always managing expectations and ensuring that the right people are in the right place.”
How Hildegard is building a better working world
“I like working with people most of all. I always want to get the best out of everyone. Both the customer and our colleagues."
