As the Regional Managing Partner, Ajen leads the integration of EY across Africa. Encompassing 13 countries, this integration strives to create a borderless approach to clients and provide growth and development opportunities for EY people. He aims to help promote growth and broaden economic participation at all levels for all Africans.
In addition to his current role, Ajen is part of the EY EMEIA Board, Global Emerging Markets Committee and Global Accounts Committee. Previously, he led EY Africa Assurance services, having started his career with EY in 1993.
He is a SAICA Chartered Accountant and holds a BAcc from the University of the Witwatersrand.
How Ajen is building a better working world
Ajen is committed to creating exceptional experiences for EY people and clients, with EY Africa having received multiple awards for gender mainstreaming; being certified as a Top Employer for Africa (several years running) and as Big 4 Firm of the Year from the SA Professional Services Awards. Outside of EY, Ajen is the Chairman of the Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund – a body driving race and gender transformation of the accounting profession in South Africa.
