EY advises MB Funds in the sale of Dieta Group

On 7 March, it was announced that WestStar Oy (“WestStar”) has acquired Dieta Group Oy (“Dieta Group”), a premium provider of turn-key commercial kitchen solutions.

 

Dieta Group, established in 1993, offers tailored tabletop, accessory, equipment and service solutions for the foodservice industry. Through its subsidiaries Dietatec Oy and Assi As, Dieta Group is also a global technology leader in high-end mixer kettles and has capabilities in manufacturing of various stainless steel products. Dieta Group had a turnover of circa EUR 40m, and was owned by a fund managed by MB Funds and key management.

 

WestStar is an entrepreneur-led group founded in 2008, operating in multiple locations across industries in Finland. The transaction ensures the growth and development of Dieta Group’s operations under a domestic ownership. WestStar has versatile experience in developing small- and medium-sized businesses, and aims to expand Dieta Group’s operations through organic growth as well as acquisitions.
