George is the partner leading the Indirect Tax team of EY Cyprus. He specializes in VAT and other indirect tax matters such as customs and excise matters, with specific specialization in the VAT issues of the Banking and Financial sector but also of the Hospitality and Real Estate sectors.
After over a decade at the indirect tax department of another Big4 Firm, George joined EY in 2016.
During his career in indirect taxes, George had the chance to handle a variety of projects covering the VAT spectrum in its entirety, which provided him with a broad knowledge of VAT matters affecting all industries and transactions. His clients ranged from small private companies to large multinational corporations across many different industries and sectors of the economy.
George holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in European and International Taxation with a specific focus on VAT and he is an FCCA and a member of ICPAC, currently serving as vice chair of the VAT committee of the institute.
