As a member of staff within the Transaction Advisory Services team, you will participate in due diligence and other engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. You’ll prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation. You’ll make technical contributions to valuation client engagements and internal projects. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the target business and its market, and of clients’ issues, performing research of the target’s industry and of quoted companies operating in that sector. Your duties will also include, keeping the senior, manager and senior manager and partner abreast of progress and of any significant issues. You’ll be involved in drafting written file notes, letters, reports and contributing to the presentations of our work and findings to the client. Within your role, you’ll obtain regular feedback on a timely basis and be alert to learning and development opportunities.  You’ll work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Responsibilities:

• Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
• Participate in different engagements -  valuation, business modeling, M&A, due diligence
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel 
• Contribute to people initiatives
• Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
• Build strong internal relationships with members of the Strategy and Transaction Team and other EY services 

Requierements:

• Strong academic record – bachelor or master degree in Finance, Business management, Economics, etc. 
• 1-2 years previous relevant experience 
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work well within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication in both Bulgarian and English language 
• Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas

Job purpose

As a legal consultant, you will make contributions to the legal engagements to clients and internal projects. You will prepare legal advice in different areas of law. You will be expected to research, collect, and compile information quickly. With extensive legal knowledge and excellent deduction skills you must ensure a logical flow of thoughts when drawing conclusions. With a clear focus on recognizing legal issues and anticipating risks you will be responsible to organize the information systematically and to reach logical conclusions. Working under supervision, you'll contribute to presenting our work and our findings to the client.

Requirements

• Qualified Bulgarian lawyer. Being a registered attorney-at-law is an advantage
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a legal consultant or attorney-at-law in the fields of regulatory and compliance (incl. data privacy and anti-money laundering measures)
• Strong practical knowledge and experience in corporate law is a must
• Practical experience in other areas of law, such as competition law, employment law, real estate, IP, etc., is an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bulgarian and English language is a must
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Currently, we have an exceptional opportunity in our International Tax and Transaction Services team in Bulgaria.

As a Junior Consultant you will be supporting the engagement teams dedicated to analyzing and documenting transactions taking place within multinational groups of enterprises. You will be involved in client communication, fact-gathering and analytical exercises. You will be actively using your industry, business model and economics insights to assist our clients in analyzing their pricing policies and tax obligations. Through your work and involvement with clients specializing in various activities, you will gain outstanding practical knowledge in the areas of corporate taxation, supply chain management, business strategy, benchmarking, risk identification.

What we expect from you is:

• Bachelor or master degree in Economics, Management, Law, Finance or Accounting, or other relevant field
• Fluency in both Bulgarian and English
• Relevant experience, gained as a transfer pricing advisor or a trade team member in a multinational company would be an advantage.
