Expectations set on Finance teams by all possible stakeholders such as shareholders, banks, employees, suppliers, financial markets… have definitely changed and increased over the last couple of years. An increasing demand and faster/automated production of (non-) financial information such as e.g. specific management reporting or regular treasury analysis or a more effective & efficient control environment could be expected. As we are convinced that many of you are facing the same issues/requests and are keen to understand how those can be addressed, we are pleased to invite you to our Finance Team Inspiration Day taking place on Tuesday 16 May at 9.30 AM in EY Diegem office

During this one-day event, the purpose is to share (over different topic-based breakout sessions) questions and best practices amongst each other; and to get inspiration from presentations by peers from other companies explaining how they have tackled those challenges; all facilitated by EY.

The day will be organized around different modules which are each linked to one of more of the challenges below:

1. Tony Chocolonely's Finance Transformation: Unlocking Benefits with Automation and Eliminating Excel

Are you looking to take your finance operations to the next level? We will discuss their journey of transforming their finance closing process with automation by using Blackline and eliminating Excel. They will explain the steps taken to reduce manual processes, optimize financial operations and increase transparency to stakeholders during the closing process. Learn how you can leverage automation and the elimination of Excel to drive efficiency and accuracy in your finance operations.

2. Going Beyond Zero: An Introduction to Intercompany Financial Management

During this session you’ll explore how you can use intercompany financial management to go beyond zero, reducing risk, improving operational efficiency and driving the most tax-effective intercompany processes. Learn about the key indicators of inefficient intercompany processes, and how you can use technology to automate and simplify the process. With a few real-world case studies and industry best practices, you'll have the knowledge and resources to help you implement the best intercompany process that is tailored to the needs of your organisation.

3. Use data mining as röntgen picture of your company and convert data in useful information.

Obtain additional finance insights, detect time eaters, identify sources for automation but moreover, increase visibility and transparency over your key financial processes. Let’s see how the way clients think processes are organized is aligned with the way it is logged through the system!

4. How optimizing your cash transactions by making use of Corporate Treasury?

You will learn about treasury management and how it can bring value to companies. We will explore the challenges and opportunities that companies are currently facing and present the different solutions available in the market in order to secure their processes and improve the efficiency of their treasury management.

5. Unleashing the power of RPA to revolutionize your Finance Operations

The RPA break-out session provides an introduction to RPA and its benefits for Finance leaders today. We will explore how RPA can automate repetitive and rule-based tasks to free up time for the Finance team to focus on more strategic work. We will share a real-life use case of how a client successfully applied RPA to transform and automate their Finance processes, resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and cost savings.

As soon as we have all visiting speakers confirmed, we will share with you a detailed agenda in which all modules you are interested in can be chosen.

Finally, as the goal is really to (i) share insights amongst each other and (ii) reduce the travel burden for you, we will foresee the following agenda:
