Energy Infrastructure Executive Briefing Series

In this three-part Energy Infrastructure Executive Briefing Series, Stepping up to drive the step change, developed by the EY Net Zero Centre, we explore three critical levers for Australia to pull to drive the net-zero transition, and create new services for consumers, businesses and our nation.

Net zero transition: Stepping up to drive the step change

To achieve net zero, Australia must decarbonise our energy system. How do we achieve this at speed and scale, while driving down the cost of energy for Australian consumers? Getting this right requires new ways of thinking about our energy system. We must forge new relationships between energy consumers and operators to orchestrate distributed energy resources. We must create certainty that Australia’s complex grid system can reliably support and export new renewable energy generation. And we must reinvent the relationship between government and business. Stepping up to the step change is an enormous challenge – but also an enormous opportunity.

In this three-part Energy Infrastructure Executive Briefing Series, developed by the EY Net Zero Centre, we explore three critical levers for Australia to pull to drive the net zero transition and create new value for consumers, businesses and our nation.
