Areas of focus

As EY Asia-Pacific Strategy and Transactions Leader, Yew-Poh focuses on helping clients drive capital allocation and strategy through execution, specifically on cross-border transactions originating in Asia.

With over 25 years of management consulting and corporate management experience, he acted as senior advisor to over 500 acquisitions and divestitures, primarily in the consumer and industrial products sectors. 

Yew-Poh spent the last 15 years of his career in China, where he has worked extensively with multinationals, private equity firms, Chinese state-owned enterprises and large Asian conglomerates.

Yew-Poh received an MS degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a frequent author and speaker on China macroeconomics, geopolitics and doing business in China.
