Filip Granek, CEO, XTPL S.A.
One of the world’s leading specialists in nanotechnology, Filip Granek spent 10 years working in universities and businesses in China, the Netherlands and Germany. Determined to realize his dream of using science to transform industry, he set up his own laboratory in a converted garage on the outskirts of Wrocław and launched XTPL.
XTPL makes very small circuit boards used in everything from game consoles to medical equipment. The company holds international patents that protect its position as an industry leader. From its original staff of 3, XTPL now employs a diverse team of 40 scientists, researchers and financiers and recently opened an office in Silicon Valley.
Filip believes XTPL’s unique technology has the potential to transform certain industries, enabling high-tech devices to be produced more quickly and more cost-effectively, thereby making them more accessible to consumers.
