Martin Dürrstein

Martin Dürrstein, the CEO of Dürr Dental, is the winner of the EY Family Enterprise Legacy Award, Germany. The well-deserved accolade recognizes and honors the 80 years’ legacy of this esteemed organization.

In 1941, two brothers built a precision mechanics workshop in Stuttgart-Feuerbach, Germany. Six years later, they entered the dental instruments field and transformed it forever. Today, Dürr Dental is a flagship company in the dental tools industry with more than 1,300 employees across the world and multitude of customers in 146 countries. Almost every dentist is a consumer of Dürr Dental products. By constantly creating innovating solutions and ensuring a top-notch quality output, Dürr Dental is raising the bar for dental health care.

Martin Dürrstein is from the third generation to lead the company. Under his aegis, Dürr Dental is actively involved in social responsibility initiatives. They have trained more than 183,000 individuals in the basics of health and hygiene. They employ Mercy Ships, an international charity that operates the largest non-governmental hospital ships in the world, to perform more than 353,000 dental procedures around the globe. The company has been working with dental practitioners worldwide for eight decades and shaping innovative solutions in the areas of practice care, suction, diagnostic systems, tooth preservation and hygiene.
