Explore the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, key challenges in implementation and how to navigate the reporting journey toward compliance.
As Singapore moves toward mandatory reporting based on the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, organizations are navigating their reporting journeys toward compliance by FY 2025 for listed companies and FY 2027 for large non-listed companies.
Based on the EY 2024 Global Climate Action Barometer, 91% of businesses in Southeast Asia have been found to provide at least some information on each of the recommendations under the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). However, the quality of disclosures currently sits at 43%. While these are improvements from 2023, there remains room for further enhancement of reporting practices.
The implementation of the reporting requirements has its short-term challenges, but it can also deliver long-term benefits for entities and the users of their financial reports, such as a better understanding of an entity’s rights and obligations and its risks and opportunities. Easing the journey toward full implementation often requires early and full engagement with internal stakeholders to develop or upgrade the organization’s data, systems and process capabilities.
Join us at this event to understand more about the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, key challenges in implementation and how your company can navigate the reporting journey toward compliance.
