Malaysia’s Financial Sector Blueprint 2022 - 2026
On 24 January 2022, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), launched the Financial Sector Blueprint (FSB) 2022-2026.
The five year Blueprint outlines the vision and strategies for the development of Malaysia’s financial sector. Underpinned by the three broad outcomes of finance for all, finance for transformation and finance for sustainability, the Blueprint identifies five strategic thrusts for their achievement:
- Fund Malaysia’s economic transformation
- Elevate the financial well-being of households and businesses
- Advance digitalization of the financial sector
- Position the financial system to facilitate an orderly transition to a greener economy
- Advance value-based finance through Islamic finance leadership
Over the next five years, the strategies outlined in the Blueprint will be integral for the financial sector to continue to be the catalyst for reform, drive sustainability and contribute to the nation’s collective aspiration for a “Prosperous, Inclusive and Sustainable Malaysia”.
