Jalbir has advised local and multinational clients in the oil and gas, education, healthcare, manufacturing and trading industries on various indirect tax matters. His key areas of experience include providing advisory and compliance services on indirect tax matters covering service tax, sales tax, goods and services tax (GST), excise duty, customs importation and exportation, free zones, licensed manufacturing warehouses, import duty exemption, refund and drawback, customs procedures and facilities, various free trade agreements and cross-border indirect tax planning.
Jalbir holds a GST Agent License and is a qualified Malaysia GST Compliance and Assurance Programme (MyGCAP) reviewer, accredited by the Ministry of Finance.
