Enrolling in the EY Tax 360° Rotation Programme

Ho Hong Jian: I was very excited to be offered an internship role at EY as I was already planning to secure a full-time position at EY after my graduation. At that time, the EY Tax 360° Rotation Programme  had not been implemented yet and I remember  thinking how wonderful it would be if EY Tax  had a rotation program which would be a great opportunity for young graduates like me to kickstart our professional careers in Tax. To my surprise, one year later, after I had completed my studies and joined EY, the EY Tax 360° Rotation Programme was launched! I was so glad to be given the opportunity to participate in this program.

Aida Atirah: It was quite overwhelming initially because, at that time, I was still trying to figure out how to juggle the workload, learn new things and adapt to new team members during the rotation. But I am grateful that with proper guidance and support from team members throughout the program, I managed to successfully complete the rotation.

Reshpreet Riar: I always look forward to gaining new knowledge, expertise and fresh experiences. When I first heard about this program, I knew that I would benefit from the exposure and that it would be a good opportunity to upskill myself and grow professionally.

Gaining technical knowledge and other experiences through the EY Tax 360° Rotation Programme

Ho Hong Jian: I have gained immense technical knowledge about tax which has certainly helped me to identify issues and propose solutions to clients. I’ve also been able to build my personal network with managers, senior colleagues and partners from other departments during my two-year rotation, which is great as I can always reach out to them for advice.

Aida Atirah: I managed to acquire loads of technical knowledge during the program, which is useful in my current line of work. The experience and skills I gained from the programme have definitely helped me make better assessments and decisions when carrying out my role as a Tax associate.

Reshpreet Riar: Through this program, I was given the opportunity to work in the EY Private Client Services and Transfer Pricing teams, where I learnt the technical processes involved in these two sub-service lines. I had the chance to work on tax audit investigation cases and assist in the preparation of multiple transfer pricing documents.  I also learnt to multi-task and become more resilient during my time in the program.

Empowering your career at EY

Ho Hong Jian: The collaborative and inclusive culture in EY has allowed me to grow, learn and develop so that I can be a better version of myself. The partners and managers are very supportive and always encourage me to explore and discover other areas that I am interested in. On top of that, EY also provides various learning platforms that I can leverage to further develop myself. As a senior, I will make sure that I uphold the EY values and continue helping junior associates in their learning process.

Aida Atirah: I am grateful that I am surrounded by good teammates. Regardless of gender or ethnicity, we support each other as we believe a diverse team brings different ideas and valuable insights to the table. The culture of inclusion also creates a sense of belonging among us. The support that I have received has certainly made me feel more confident. The training and learning programs provided by EY have also definitely helped me grow to become a better tax professional.
