As EYs Global Tax Chief Data Officer, Richard is leading the rollout of EY’s tax data strategy to deliver data-driven transformation. His responsibilities include helping clients to make the transition to digital tax, innovating with data-driven services and using advanced technologies to enhance the Tax Finance Operate agenda.
Richard also leads tax technology and transformation for the Financial Services sector in the UK. He works with cross-functional teams in Tax, EY Advanced Technology Tax Lab, Global Tax Innovation, Client Technology and Data Office to bring new artificial intelligence solutions to market.
Richard has over 20 years of tax experience advising financial services clients, including five years of industry experience within a global financial services company.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has an MA in Corporate Strategy and a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
How Richard is building a better working world
Richard is working to improve the societal and financial efficiency of the implementation of digital tax transformation by developing more accurate advanced data and technology solutions which can be used globally. He is a playing a key role in the global rollout of EY Tax machine learning solutions.
