Cybersecurity is a broad field that encompasses business strategy, governance and organization, process and procedure, human awareness and performance, and of course, information technology components.
As EY Japan Consulting Senior Manager, Naoto began his career with a strong academic understanding of these topics and has since built an accomplished career helping clients to improve their performance across each of these domains.
He has significant programming and network/server operation experience, and has worked with leading organizations across business and government to improve clients’ cybersecurity measures by providing broad advisory services, from governance through to technical implementation support.
Naoto earned a Ph.D. in computer science and a Master of Engineering degree from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Kyoto University. He is a certified public accountant in Japan.
How Naoto is building a better working world
“Even though we tend to focus on the technical side of security, human awareness and behavior are actually critical. I believe that we can contribute to a better working world through making the virtual space of the Internet – which is becoming increasingly intertwined with the real world – safer.
We can accomplish this by transforming the way that people think about cybersecurity, and by incenting different behaviors that will better work in concert with the technical investments that we will continue to make.”
