Czech Republic extends Temporary Protection status for Ukrainian citizens and residents until 31 March 2025

The Czech authorities recently enforced an amendment allowing Ukrainian citizens and residents who hold Temporary Protection status in the Czech Republic to extend their status until 31 March 2025. On 22 December 2023, the Czech president signed an amendment into law that allows eligible individuals to apply to extend their Temporary Protection status until 31 March 2025. Eligible individuals must register online on or before 15 March 2024 to receive the extension. Upon successful registration, these individuals will be granted automatic extensions of their status until 30 September 2024 and issued a date of appointment with the Ministry of Interior.
