EY is delighted to announce that nominations for the 17th EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ (EOY) Awards are now open. The theme this year “Unleash vitality; Embrace innovation” particularly focuses on honoring those entrepreneurs who have made exceptional contributions to establishing a collaborative, efficient, and seamless innovation ecosystem. We also hope to find ways to create value through co-creation, sharing and mutualistic joint development and enhance vitality through innovation through our program.
Jack Chan, EY China Chairman and Greater China Regional Managing Partner says: “This year marks an important milestone as China embarks on a journey to build a modern socialist economy and achieve its second centenary goals. Due to complex internal and external operating environments, companies aiming for high-quality development have to go beyond stability and strive to break down barriers on their growth path. It is essential for companies to support collaborative innovation throughout the industry chain and among peers of all sizes. The deep integration of digital technology and the real economy has expanded the breadth and depth of enterprise cooperation, creating more synergies and interactions within industry clusters and promoting the exchange of multidisciplinary knowledge. This has resulted in more decisive impetus and energy for the high-quality development of the overall economy.”
The EOY program is one of the world’s most prestigious business accolades for entrepreneurs as it honors those who inspire others with their outstanding vision, leadership and achievement. EOY has grown to more than 145 cities in 60 countries and regions, recognizing over one thousand of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs around the world. The program was launched in 2006 in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, and has since become a prestigious awards program in the region.
EY is honored to invite one of the world’s leading financial institutions, Credit Suisse, to be the platinum sponsor of the EOY awards program for the seventh consecutive year. Janice Hu, Chief Executive Officer for Credit Suisse China, said, “It’s a great honor to continue supporting the Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) awards for China as the Platinum Sponsor. Since the beginning of this year, entrepreneurs are facing challenging market environments both at home and abroad. The relentless pursuit of entrepreneurship becomes remarkably essential to stand the test. Founded by a Swiss business leader and pioneer, entrepreneurship has been deeply embedded in the DNA and culture of the bank over its 160 years of history. Credit Suisse is very pleased to collaborate with EY again to unveil this year's program."
Michael Bi, EOY Awards Program Co-chairman and EY Greater China Markets Managing Partner, says: “China’s economy is steadily and confidently progressing toward high-quality development. At the same pace, entrepreneurs embrace a new mission of becoming leaders in innovation, not only transforming their enterprises into innovation powerhouses, but also proactively strengthening collaboration, streamlining industrial supply chains and injecting vitality into China’s high-quality economic development.”
William Huang, EOY Awards Program Co-chairman and EY China South Managing Partner, says: “In the 17 years since EY Entrepreneur Of The Year was launched in China, we have been committed to discovering and celebrating the most innovative Chinese entrepreneurs who have the courage to seize opportunities. This year, with a theme of "Unleash vitality; Embrace innovation", the award is set to recognize outstanding business leaders who are determined to innovate and scale new heights.”
EOY winners are chosen by an independent judging panel which comprises captains of industry, well-respected leaders from the community, experts from the business and financial sectors, and previous EOY winners. The judging criteria conform to a single standard adopted by all EOY programs across the world which include entrepreneurial spirit, value creation, strategic direction, national or global impact, innovation and purpose-driven leadership.
Nominations for the EOY 2022 Awards are now open. Anyone associated with a successful entrepreneur may nominate the individual. EY also welcomes entrepreneurs who nominate themselves. The nomination form is attached to the nomination brochure and is also available at Entrepreneur Of The Year.
