Sergio Ricardo Romani
EY Latin America – South Regional Managing Partner
Sergio Ricardo Romano leads the EY Latin America – South Region and is a member of the EY Americas Executive Board. He joined EY in 1983 and has experience serving clients in a variety of sectors, primarily consumer products and retail and oil and gas.
With a career of auditing mainly international clients, Sergio led the growth of the EY Brazil Assurance practice for 10 years. He quadrupled the Audit practice and oversaw substantial growth in auditing public companies, bringing EY from fourth to first place in market share. He also led strategy for the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services and the Forensics practices, taking first place in the Brazil forensics market, by a wide margin.
Sergio is a member of the Institute of Auditors in Brazil as well as Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and has completed various leadership development courses, including at the Harvard Business School. He speaks fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish.
