Thinh is Tax Partner at EY Consulting Vietnam Joint Stock Company (EY Consulting VN) with more than 20 years of experience in legal and tax consulting in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
He leads a team of tax and legal professionals to ensure that EY delivers quality services that exceed clients’ expectations.
Thinh has advised various multinational and local companies on taxation and investment issues, both domestic and cross-border.
His experience covers a wide range of industries, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceuticals, as well as oil and gas. His professional expertise extends to tax and legal structuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax and customs compliance review and controversy support.
Thinh has provided tax and investment licensing services to various M&A deals and spin-offs in Vietnam, including property project demerger worth multi-million US$ and the spin-off of the trading and distribution arm of a major brewery.
Prior to joining EY, he was head of the legal and tax department of a billion-dollar investment firm with a profile including property development, construction and logistics business.
