Michael is the Law Leader and Managing Director at EY Law Vietnam Limited Liability Company (EY Law Vietnam). Michael has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate law.
Prior to joining EY, Michael worked as a corporate attorney at two law firms in New York, London and Los Angeles, focusing on international corporate bankruptcy, securities and M&A. Michael is a member of the Bar Associations of New York and California and is a licensed foreign lawyer in Vietnam.
Outside of law, Michael worked as a strategic management consultant at a global consulting firm in their pharmaceutical practice group and managed his own hedge funds for a decade.
Michael holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Yale Law School, a Master of Art (MA) degree from Princeton University, a Bachelor of Art (BA) degree from Cornell University and studied philosophy at both Cambridge University and Georg-August University.

Michael leads EY Law Vietnam to provide broad transactional advice and support. His legal team has many years of direct, front-line experience in helping foreign clients navigate Vietnam’s legal landscape. Furthermore, his team also synergizes the expertise of professionals from tax, transactions and advisory to give a broad spectrum of services to issues that can arise in any single corporate transaction.
