Marla is a Managing Director in EY’s National Tax Transfer Pricing Controversy Group. Her focus is transfer pricing and tax controversy, particularly in life sciences.
Marla has extensive experience in transfer pricing controversy, including support & defense of client transfer pricing positions, tax authority negotiations, information document request (IDR) response preparation and review, and audit dispute resolution support (protest and IRS Appeals, advance pricing agreements, and mutual agreement procedures). Her expertise includes economic analysis related to intercompany licenses or transfers of intellectual property: specifically review and analysis of internal and external comparable agreements, evaluation of comparability under the US & OECD Guidelines, and development of economic models.
Prior to joining EY, Marla worked for a leading Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in the business development group, evaluating potential licensing and M&A transactions.
