How’s it structured?

Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this programme. Whether you join UK & Ireland or Financial Services, you'll be in a supportive team and will receive regular coaching and mentoring. You'll be learning on-the-job and will be given access to training opportunities.

Year 1 - Your first year will be spent understanding how businesses operate and the tax issues associated with them. You will also begin studying for your professional qualification. You'll have lots of support and will build your technical knowledge by assisting Seniors with tax work while working alongside offshore support (where relevant).

Years 2 and 3 - You'll continue studying for your professional qualification. You will also be gaining invaluable experience through technical tax work and working directly with Managers and above. You will be assisting and delegating work to new joiners and taking on more responsibility on engagements and interacting directly with clients.

Year 4 - You'll complete the ICAEW/ICAS professional qualification and qualify as a chartered accountant.

Alongside day-to-day work, you'll also have the opportunity to join the many EY networks and social groups available, allowing you to broaden your opportunities and increase your social network.
