Gina Diez Barroso is breaking new ground in real estate and empowering the next generation of creative professionals. 

Gina Diez Barroso is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist who has been making a difference for more than 30 years. Her ventures highlight her commitment to groundbreaking design and innovation projects, the improvement of creative education, and the development and career advancement of women.  

As the Founder and President of Dalia Empower, Gina supports women in reaching their personal and professional goals through lifelong learning. She previously founded Grupo Diarq, one of Mexico’s leading international design, architecture and real estate development companies, with more than 600 employees across eight subsidiaries. She also founded the high-end lighting company Diez. 

Working as an entrepreneur in a creative field inspired Gina to found Centro University, the leading university in Mexico focused exclusively on creative studies, but with a strong emphasis on business. It enrolls over 3,000 students and offers eight bachelor’s degree programs, 20 master’s degrees and over 200 continuing education courses.  

Gina has launched three philanthropic organizations alongside her companies. The Diarq Foundation is dedicated to eradicating domestic violence, the Pro-Educacion CENTRO Foundation grants merit-based scholarships to students in creative studies, and the Tatis Foundation provides opportunities and a better quality of life for people with disabilities.  

In addition to her business and charitable initiatives, Gina is an active independent board member of Santander Global, The Mexican Stock Exchange, ASCOA and Laurel Strategies, as well as an advisor for numerous international and national organizations.
