Amber was established in 2013 by a collective of artisans residing around the world. Structured as a network of studios with different specializations, it employs more than 1,200 in Romania, Canada, Mexico, Poland and the US. The agency works with world-renowned gaming brands and uses innovation and learning to form the backbone of a strong, profitable and admired company.
Amber’s social mission extends to teaching game development fundamentals to high school and college students in emerging markets, providing a path to lucrative internships at its international locations. A training center in Guadalajara, Mexico, offers rigorous six-month classes across multiple disciplines such as engineering, art and design. Amber is also setting up a private university in Bucharest in partnership with Abertay University in the UK, the home of one of Europe’s leading game development academic programs.
