Karl leads the EY Global Banking and Capital Markets research, insights and thought leadership program. He is a strategic advisor to clients on key sector issues and shapes the EY narrative for the future of the banking sector.
Prior to joining EY, Karl worked as a management consultant in financial services on large transformation programs before leading major banking and capital markets research initiatives for a large professional services organization in the UK.
He began his career in research and program planning in the Royal Household.
Karl holds an MA and a BA in History from Swansea University.
How Karl is building a better working world
Karl believes the banking sector has an important role in leading positive changes in society. He works with senior clients and the EY banking leadership teams to explore the future of banking and how the sector can transform to build a better working world. He has led major research initiatives focused on sustainable finance and enhancing the small- and medium- sized enterprise and consumer banking experiences; and improving diversity, equity and inclusion within banks.
