Joel is the EY UK&I Transfer Pricing Leader and EY Global International Tax and Transaction Services Controversy Leader. He advises clients from a range of industries on preparing for and managing cross-border tax controversy. He has extensive experience in assisting clients with advance pricing agreements, mutual agreement procedures, settlement strategy and preparation for litigation.

Formerly, a partner at a global law firm and an International Tax and Transfer Pricing professional at the World Bank Group, Joel has previously trained tax officials and advised numerous governments on international tax policy and the drafting of transfer pricing legislation.

Joel was the lead author of the World Bank publication “Transfer Pricing and Developing Economies: A Handbook for Policy Makers and Practitioners.”

Joel has an LLM from University of London and a Bachelor of Law (Hons.) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from University of Adelaide, Australia.
