Mariko Takahashi is the CEO of SIRC Co. Ltd., a foremost Japanese technology firm that offers Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and digital transformation (DX) strategies. SIRC develops IoT sensors and DX solutions that use an "SIRC" device, a multitasking analog chip.
After graduation, Mariko wanted to find a win-win solution for the people from developing and developed countries through her work. After attending a women entrepreneurship program at Kyoto University, she founded her first company in 2010. Later, when she was trying to launch a university venture for a venture capitalist, she met Professor Tsujimoto of Osaka City University. Their collaboration made her realize the possibilities of SIRC devices and steered her role at SIRC Co. Ltd.
Mariko earned a BA of Arts in Global Policy from Chatham University and attended the Women Entrepreneurs Program of the Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University. She established her own company to support the creation of new business for domestic and overseas companies in April 2010. In May 2012, she joined as a project manager at the MEXT START project to enhance business creation from university research and development. During the establishment of SIRC Co. Ltd in 2015, she joined as an executive director of fundraising and was appointed as CEO in October 2019.
Mariko firmly hopes she can change the world and the future through sensors.
