With 60 million lives impacted to-date, EY Ripples is making a massive difference in our communities. We want to make it easier for our EY Alumni to be part of this journey.

What is EY Ripples?

Launched in 2018, with the ambition to positively impact one billion lives by 2030, the EY Ripples program embodies our quest to lead EY people and networks in accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Together with EY Alumni, clients and other like-minded organizations, EY people use and develop their skills, knowledge and experience to bring positive change across three focus areas. Reflecting the intersections between what the world needs most and what we are distinctively positioned to provide, these are where we believe our combined capabilities can make the biggest impact — where each ripple we start has the potential to grow and join with others to create waves of change:

  • The world needs critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers, ready to collaborate on solving society’s toughest challenges. As a world-renowned developer of talent, the EY organization extends its knowledge to help young people and underserved groups build the mindsets and skills needed to succeed in an era of unprecedented change. This includes EY Future Skills Workshops, which are helping thousands of students in more than 50 countries prepare for the future of work by exploring topics from the impact of new technologies on global sustainability challenges.

  • The world needs business model innovation that prioritizes social justice, economic inclusion and environmental regeneration. From intensive group workshops exploring common barriers, to scale to longer-term consulting projects with individual enterprises, EY people extend their skills and experience to help life-changing impact enterprises become more resilient and improve their capacity to scale sustainably.

  • The world needs urgent action to address the climate emergency. As a leading provider of climate change and sustainability services, EY people extend the value of their knowledge and experience to help accelerate the adoption of new models, technologies and behaviors that protect and regenerate the environment. Projects range from contributing to professional environmental research projects to interactive workshops that inspire future leaders to generate breakthrough ideas.

With 60 million lives impacted to-date, EY Ripples is already making a massive difference in our communities. But that’s not all. EY Ripples opportunities also represent some of the top learning and development experiences that EY teams have to offer. They empower EY people to devote their time to SDG-focused projects that apply their skills in different contexts; they help them develop as transformative leaders with a deeper understanding of the challenges facing low-income and marginalized communities; and they illuminate the social value of the skills they use every day.

We want to make it easier for you and other EY Alumni to be part of this journey. That’s why EY teams have worked with citizen science platform, Zooniverse, to develop The Arctic Bears Project EY. Stay tuned for a future announcement about this exciting new citizen science project, specifically developed for EY Alumni.

We’d also love to hear from you if you have other ideas or suggestions for potential collaborations. If you do, please get in touch by emailing us at GlobalCorporateResponsibility@uk.ey.com.
