EY announced the Top Nominees of the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022 Malaysia

Fourteen entrepreneurs from thirteen companies were recently announced as the Top Nominees of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2022 Malaysia across the Emerging, Technology, Woman and Master categories.

Fourteen entrepreneurs from thirteen companies were recently announced as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2022 Top Nominees across the Emerging, Technology, Woman and Master categories.

The Top Nominees were announced at an event co-hosted with Credit Suisse at Hilton KL in November 2022 which was attended by over 200 guests comprising business owners and leaders, EOY judges and past winners, EY partners and members of the media. It was a great evening of networking and celebrating the unstoppable entrepreneurial community in Malaysia.

The event began with opening speeches by Philip Rao, EOY Programme Director and Partner, Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd and Jullie Kan, Vice-Chairman Southeast Asia, Wealth Management Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse.

This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic of ESG and Purpose: The keys to unlocking long-term value. The panelists comprised of Datuk Umar Swift, Chief Executive Officer, Bursa Malaysia; Datuk Ir Megat Jalaluddin bin Megat Hassan, Chief Strategy & Ventures Officer, Tenaga Nasional Bhd; Ooi Lay Pheng, Chief Executive Officer, Berjayapak Sdn Bhd and EY Woman Entrepreneur Of The Year 2021 Malaysia, as well as Arina Kok, Malaysia Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) Leader, Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd. The highly engaging session was moderated by Paul Peters, Senior Manager, Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd, and raised insightful perspectives on the commitment, challenges and approaches toward ESG within organizations amid increasing stakeholder scrutiny.
